The Offer
First Horizon Bank is offering a $450 bonus when you open a new checking account and complete the following requirements:
Maintain a $5,000 average daily balance
Conduct a minimum of 10 qualifying client-initiated transactions for each statement cycle for the first three full statement cycles
The Fine Print
To qualify for the bonus, open a new FirstView Checking account by 03/31/2024 and maintain a $5,000 average daily collected balance and conduct a minimum of 10 qualifying client-initiated transactions for each statement cycle for the first three full statement cycles.
A qualifying client-initiated transaction may include deposits, checks paid, ACH items, and signature and PIN-based purchases made with a First Horizon Debit Card.
The cash bonus will be deposited into your account within 10 business days after qualifying activities are met. Bonus will only be paid to open accounts with a positive balance.
Offer is only available to the addressee of the offer, is non-transferable, may not be combined with other offers, and is only available for new clients that have not had an account at First Horizon within the last 12 months.
Bonus will be reported as interest earned on IRS form 1099-INT and recipient is responsible for any applicable taxes.
All FirstView Checking accounts require a $50 minimum opening deposit.
All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

FirstView checking account has no monthly fees to worry about. You do need to opt in to paperless statements otherwise you’ll be charged a $2 monthly fee.
Early Account Termination Fee
Account must be kept open for six months otherwise the bonus will be forfeit
Our Verdict
Better than the $400 checking bonus. Definitely worth doing if they will send you an e-mail with the promo code, I guess there is some risk involved though if you weren’t targeted with a mailer.
