Bilt is making significant changes to its loyalty program. There are more ways to earn points, but the requirements for each status tier are changing as well.
New Tiers
Blue: basic status tier, you get this for signing up
Silver: requires 50,000 points or $10,000 in non-rent spend on a Bilt Mastercard, or other linked Mastercard, American Express, or Visa card (previously 25,000 points)
Gold: requires 125,000 points or $25,000 in non-rent spend on a Bilt Mastercard, or other linked Mastercard, American Express, or Visa card (previously 50,000 points)
Platinum: requires 200,000 points or $25,000 in non-rent spend on a Bilt Mastercard, or other linked Mastercard, American Express, or Visa card (previously 100,000 points)
New Ways To Earn Points
spend on SoulCycle classes booked in the Bilt app and at Bilt Dining restaurants with any card linked in your Bilt Wallet
spend on Lyft rideshare when Bilt is set as your rewards partner in the Lyft app
spend in the Bilt Travel Portal
Milestone Rewards
Every 25,000 points you earn will unlock special rewards as you work your way towards elite status
Our Verdict
Currently the main perk for status is receiving higher transfer bonuses during rent days (e.g base level member might receive a 75% bonus whereas Platinum receives 150% bonus). Bilt has said that this will continue, but new perks will be added for elites as well. It looks like it’ll be significantly harder for most people to earn status than before, how worth it that is will really depend on these new benefits and what the milestone rewards are.
