This probably falls under the 5/24 rule, based on what we’re seeing thus far
Our Verdict
The $200 Instacart credit with no spend requirement is nice, just remember you are using up a 5/24 spot. Instacart+ costs $99/year and adds a nice value. Some of us recently got a free year of Instacart+ from the Sapphire Reserve card which makes that benefit not so useful at the moment.
Beyond the initial bonus, the main interesting thing is 5% back on Instacart purchases which is useful for heavy Instacart shoppers. It’s on par with the 5% Amazon and 5% Target REDcard offerings.
An interesting note: readers say that given the lack of spend requirement, the signup bonus might combine with other bonuses from Chase (e.g. credit card referral bonuses) to reach the $600 for triggering a form 1099.
